Keeping Our Children Safe

We are a school where we promote the well-being of children and work in partnership with families and local external agencies to keep our children safe and provide the best possible care and support.  Keeping children safe is our key priority and we are committed to maintaining an environment where children feel secure and are encouraged to talk and are always listened to.

Operation Encompass

Our school participates in a Police-led initiative called Operation Encompass, a scheme which ensures that we can better support any child where a domestic incident has been reported to the Police from their home.  Even when not directly injured, children will often arrive at school distressed, upset, worried and unprepared. Operation Encompass aims to ensure that appropriate school staff are made aware early enough to help and support children and young people in a way that makes them feel safe and included.  You can find out more about Operation Encompass by visiting www.operationencompass.org or please contact Mr Ollis, Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead
